Hope For The Future outreach teams have been very blessed using The Jesus Film and other DVD’s in villages and markets. They have conducted numerous film outreaches in the last couple of years with several thousand decisions for Christ. These outreaches utilize worship, testimonies, exhortations, singing and preaching as well as a film showing.
Many of those in attendance have never accurately heard of what Jesus Christ had done for them much less seen it vividly portrayed on a large screen before their very eyes. The audience gets completely caught up in the drama, clapping and cheering as Jesus does miracles, and feeling their own need as the truth of the Gospel message unfolds to them in this amazing presentation.
While the first stage of the meeting is taking place the crowd builds, people walk by, coming and going. The kids squeeze into the front as tightly as they can. If we don’t put up barriers they would back the ministry team right out of the stage area. There are no chairs so people mostly stand; some are perched on different objects of opportunity around the area. At opportune intervals during the event, people are asked to publicly respond to the Gospel call; when they do they are taken aside where someone talks and prays with each of them individually, giving them new convert literature.
Before we send people away we give a five minute power-point discipleship lesson for the whole crowd. This is meant to be confirming to those who have just made a decision for Christ and to prepare the others to make that decision.
